Rooted in nature. Crafted by hand. Every SPADEA product begins with botanicals we grow, harvest and slowly infuse ourselves.

CO-FOUNDER

Alexandra Spadea

Botanical Cultivator & Formulator

Focus

Alexandra cultivates calendula, mugwort and other botanicals on the family's land before slowly infusing them into nourishing plant oils. The family has lived on their homestead in Rockland County for the past 25 years, where they recently renovated a new "lab headquarters" to scale their production. Alexandra has decades of experience with plants and natural formulations, especially being a Waldorf student herself, and she continues to shape every SPADEA balm, facial oil, and botanical ritual.

Focusing ALL her energy on these creations now, in 2026, Alexandra left her teaching position at Rudolf Steiner School in NYC, where she joyfully taught Eurythmy and guided students through their high school experience for the past 17 years. Times are changing!

Luna shapes the visual identity of SPADEA, connecting handcrafted botanical skincare with thoughtful storytelling, photography and customer experiences inspired by nature.

While studying International Business at Baruch College, producing wellness events, pop-ups, records music with her father, John McDowell, and offers Kirtan with him throughout New York City and the East Coast.
